15 minutes to downtown Sydney & the Opera House by Fast Ferry over

one of the most spectacular harbours in the world.

Airport to Manly by Ferry or Fast Ferry:

Trains from inside both the domestic and international airport terminals will bring you to Circular Quay ferry and train interchange, which is downtown Sydney right by the Opera House (10 minutes travel time). From there, Manly is just 30 minutes on a Ferry or 15 minutes on a Fast Ferry (peak service only) and we are about 3 - 5 minutes walk from the Manly Wharf. Airport Self Drive Directions:

Out of the airport, follow the signs for the city centre. Once there, stay continually with the main flow of traffic and follow the signs for the “ED” or “Eastern Distributor”. There is a toll of about $4, you may need to call the number posted to pay this within a certain period of time. Staying again with the main flow of traffic, follow the signs for Sydney Harbour Tunnel or Harbour Bridge. Once over the bridge (or under the tunnel) follow the signs for Manly.

Please note parking in Manly is generally at a premium, and it may be better to not rent a car, as everything is accessible on foot. Manly Lodge has no parking available, but we have a limited number residents permits we can loan to guests during the stay free of charge.

Distance from Sydney International and Domestic Airport by car is approximately 20km’s, with an average travel time by road of 30 - 45 minutes.

There are several ways to get to Manly from the airport. Some essential information:

Bus: Alternatively you can take a bus from “Circular Quay” as well (read above for train directions from airport).

Once you are here in Manly, everything is basically within easy walking distance, including access to downtown Sydney.
