Welcome to Manly, Sydney Australia!
Manly, Sydney Australia is an historic and modern residential suburb of Sydney. With a good mix of tourists and locals, it’s really a fantastic place to get a feel for and experience Australian beach suburb culture. Manly is a peninsula of land that ends in a national park headland looking out over the Pacific ocean, where you can take amazing walks around the coastal cliffs and get fantastic views of Sydney harbour, the city, and Pacific Ocean headland, and there are loads of local activities plus easy access to Sydney City by ferry or jetcat - it’s the perfect place to stay while visiting Sydney. “any time of year, Manly is one of the best places to base your visit to Sydney.”
What makes Manly so unique?
It is the fact that you have all this beach, surf and protected wildlife headland, coupled with a cosmopolitan “village” life style of shopping, excellent cafes and restaurants, great facilities, and super easy, fast scenic access over Sydney harbour directly to the heart of Sydney city centre?! It’s a unique combination of things that makes Manly so great, not to mention the people that live here as well as the tourist culture of visitors, all of which add to the atmosphere. It can be equally lively and exciting as it can be relaxing, pleasant and rejuvenating.
Besides local popular coffee hang-outs! The beach itself is the main draw for visitors and locals alike. About a kilometre of sand, sun and surf with the iconic Norfolk Island Pine trees lining the beach make Manly a ‘must visit’ destination when visiting Sydney. Manly Lodge - manly - arial
